Ripley's Believe it or Not
Museum and 4-D Theater:
The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum and 4D Theater in Williamsburg offers an exciting and bizarre experience for all ages. With exhibits ranging from a 10’ X 10’ section of the Berlin Wall to a two headed cow and genuine shrunken head, the Museum offers a unique, hands-on experience. This Odditorium is the only fully indoor, year round entertainment venue in Williamsburg. For 2010 we have added an Impossible Laser Race, where guests battle the clock by avoiding the 24 laser beams to get the best time and beat their friends! In addition to the Museum and Laser Race, Ripley’s offers a 4D Theater. Guests watch the shows with 3D glasses on a 50’ HD screen, all while getting blasted with wind, water and a host of other sensory experiences. The 2010 line up is Dino Island II/Extreme Log Ride and Speed Racer 4D. Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum and 4D Theater in Williamsburg is your destination for the strange, unusual and bizarre!
Virginia Living Museum:
Animals native to Virginia swim, slither, roam and fly at the Virginia Living Museum, which completed a $22.6 million expansion in March 2004. The living exhibits in the museum's new building bring visitors in contact with more habitats, wildlife and plant species than would be encountered in a lifetime of outdoor adventures. The exhibits literally go from the upland coves of the Appalachian Mountains to the salty offshore waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Virginia Air and Space Museum:
Located in Hampton, Virginia, the birthplace of America's space program, the Virginia Air & Space Center features dozens of hands-on air and space exhibits, a premiere interactive aviation gallery that spans 100 years of flight, more than 30 historic aircraft, unique space flights and more. Your imagination will soar as you launch a rocket, pilot a space shuttle, become an air traffic controller, fly an airplane, and climb aboard a WWII bomber! Also visit our IMAX theatre to experience a 3-D Imax Film!
